Refried Beans – or black beans maybe used in this Mexican taco dip recipe.

Want even more protein? Add cooked ground beef to beans or shredded chicken.

Cream Cheese – I like to use the full fat Philadelphia brand. However, if you’d like to reduce calories use low fat cream cheese.

Want to make this dip vegan? Purchase a plant based cream cheese and sour cream.

Sour Cream – or Greek yogurt can be used if you’d like to reduce even more calories.

Taco Seasoning Packet – I like to use Old El Paso taco seasoning packet. However, feel free to use whatever brand you prefer.

Want to spice things up a notch? Season cream cheese and sour cream with a spicy taco seasoning packet. Delish!

Likewise, if you have taco seasonings on-hand you may also make homemade taco seasoning.

Guacamole – My-oh-my Guacamole is my favorite taco topping. Any chance I get I love to add Guac to anything I eat.

I purchased 14 ounces of Guacamole from the veggie section at my local grocery store.

However, if you’d like to make homemade guacamole purchase about 3-4 large avocados and season to your liking or don’t season at all.

Cheddar Cheese – was my cheese of choice, feel free to try other cheeses like; Nacho Blend with Jalapenos, Mexican- Style 4 Cheese Blend, Cheddar Jack Cheese, Taco Blend with Taco Seasoning, or Pepper Jack Cheese.

And to make this dip vegan, Daiya, Violife, and vitalite are great shredded cheese options and some styles come pre-seasoned Mexican-Style.

Taco Toppings – If you’d like to keep this 4 layer taco dip simple. Feel free to skip added chopped veggies.

I usually have a lot of veggies on-hand so I use what I tend to eat all the time.

Which is, lettuce, green onions, cilantro, and tomatoes of course! Yum!

What are some of your favorite taco toppings? Feel free to add them to your Mexican dip and make this layered dip entirely your own.
